RS. Hot-Line Staff The R. S. HOT-UNE staff published its first student directory this year as well as selling S140 of ads before the Thanksgiving edition. The staff publishes school and community news, school and community activi- ties, and student honors in the paper. The staff's main goal is to inform the community and the student body of the news and to keep its readers interested in the content of the paper. QCD A falling missile in OU1' school community makes the headlines in the R. S. HOT-LINE. An unusual community happening during the '71 - '72 school year was the unexpected falling of a missile on a quiet Sunday morning. On October 31, judge james W. Parrott's home was partially destroyed by a missile, which was accidentally released from a Naval airplane. Al Parrott, a junior at Rush Strong, was in his home at the time the missile hit, but he escaped injury.

WB Plainsman Yearbook Staff captures '72 vibrations The '72 Plainsmen Yearbook Staff reached their goal of increasing the sale of yearbooks and the sale of ad- vertisements. The staff has increased the size of the book as well as used an up-to-date style of layout and cluster caption. The staff also emphasized the purposes of a yearbook in their sales campaigns, which included being mirrors of the past in future years. fAJ1ames Owens and Donnie Thorpe work on the fac- ulty portraits and candids to meet the December deadline. QBJ Sherry Cain, Linda Cameron and Dean Cook check over the class candids before having the final layouts drawn. QCD Regina Davis and Darlene Griffin get right in with the action for the candid shots in the sports section. QDJ Martha Blair and Mary Lou Reagan check over the staff's work before mailing the final pages. QEJ Bill Province draws the final layouts for the yearbook. QFD Ann Skeen and Becky Province work together in the elementary and index sectionsg sharing and accepting responsibility leads to success in yearbook. QGJ Sharon Denton, Janice Cate and john Witt work on the club section of the yearbook. QHJ Miss Mary Ellen Bishop, yearbook adviser, talks to the staff about 3-R forms.
