Beta Club is for leadership The Beta Club members sold calendars and Tennessee placemats in the months of October and November. They worked in the concession stand at the home bas- ketball games during the '71..'72 season to earn money to pay for attending the State Beta Club Convention in Nashville in April. Beta Club for Leadership are four words often heard by the Beta Club members, since they are the first four words of the theme song. Being a member of the Beta Club indicates that the student is capable of doing work beyond the average school standards. Membership requires that a student must obtain and maintain a 3.0 average, equivalence of a B , in high school.
