An unusual community happening during the '71 - '72 school year was the unexpected falling of a missile on a quiet Sunday morning. On October 31, judge james W. Parrott's home was partially destroyed by a missile, which was accidentally released from a Naval airplane. Al Parrott, a junior at Rush Strong, was in his home at the time the missile hit, but he escaped injury. Dail Our adviser, Miss Mary Ellen Bishop Our advertisers and patrons Our students of Rush Strong School Specifications: This 1972 edition of THE PLAlNSMAN was printed by the American Yearbook Company of Clarksville, Tennessee, under the supervision of its Knoxville representative, Mr. Ed Bailey. To Hlaintain unity throughout the book, the staff used Lectrityped News Gothic Type. All capitals were used in the copy of the opening section of the book for emphasis of the theme. Paper stock used was tru white enamel. End.. sheet paper is ivory color. The embossed cover was chosen from the styleline series. The fish- eye lens photographs on the title page and the closing page were produced by Ron Warwick Studios, Knoxville, Tennessee. The process four-color reproduction, whic appears on pages 8 and 9, was taken by Mr. Tom Bruckner from Graham's Studios, Knoxville, Tennesse Class portraits and some organizations and candid photographs were the production of Graham's Studios. Mr. Reese Tallent, from Tallent Photographers, jefferson City, Tennessee, photographed and printed the sports pictures and other candids.
