We thought we had really arrived when we got to go to Tri State with the band. Lynne and Lisa came in time to enjoy Mrs. Werhan's participation grades. Everyone remembers the closeness of the EIG HTH GRADE basketball tournament at Am-Po. We had the dis- tinction of being the first graduation class from middle school. The band visited Six Flags and Car- olyn Dorman joined us in time to go along. As FRESHMEN we finally made it to high school and became the low men on the totem pole once again. Our football team was undefeated and unscored against. The Home Ec department threatened dis- aster, but culinary talents and sewing skills began to improve and hope began to show for our fu- ture domestic lives. Ruth, Ruby, and Janelle became far-out freshmen that year. Russ, Tana, and Annette added l'spice to our Drivers Ed class and great renditions of Shakespeare's ROM E0 AND JULIET and JULIUS CEASAR echoed through the halls as our SOPHONIORE year got under- way. Lake Charles, Louisiana, became our foremost goal as the year came to an end because our band trip was scheduled in April. Our JUNIOR year brought with it excitement and anticipation as we awaited the arrival of our class rings. From selling T-shirts and candles to car washes, we accomplished our goal of providing an elegant banquet for the seniors. Displaying unexpected courage, Coach NlcElroy and Coach Walker worked diligently with the material available in order to field a team to play in the Powder Puff Football game against the seniors. Although our class wasn't too-pleased with the score, we did feel our cheerleaders were outstanding. We enjoyed our band trip to San Antonio, Texas, and then anx- iously awaited the day when we would be Seniors . Now we have arrived. We are at the top of the totem pole! Along with the privileges of Senioritus have come many responsibilities, great expenses, and hectic schedules. Our memories hold tears and many laughs. Although we will miss our friends and the life-we've shared, we have challenges to con- queror and new friends to make. Graduation is the end of one fragment of our lives and the best is yet to come. l S The Pot Of Gola' Is. In Sight
