In the past they have had a clean- up day in downtown Rush Springs and when Spring comes they would like to fix up the parking lot. Their main concern centers around the hope of bringing the stu- dents together both socially and academically thereby making Rush Springs High School a school to be proud of. Only those students who are among the top ten per cent of their class scholasti- cally are eligible for membership. The award is based upon the grades which they received for the second semester of the previous year and the first semester of this year. Students in the seventh grade are selected upon the basis of their first semes- ter in Junior High. The students will receive a certificate in the Awards Assembly this spring. Those receiving the award this year have a straight A grade average. 79 Music Department Noes Under the able direction of Richard Krey the music department was greatly expanded in 1976. In addition to the High School Marching Band, he organized the Junior High Band and a Grade School Band. A vocal class was also added to the curriculum. A total of 149 students are now participating in various facets of the program.
