SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS To the students: It is doubtful if the average person in this great country is aware of the part that public education plays in our economy and in the perpetuation of our political heritage. The impact of education, both formal and informal, upon our lives is profound. Indeed it is impossible to visualize our society with- out its influence. We should daily thank our Maker for the accident of birth which has placed us in a milieu in which our limits are set only by our potentials, our motivations, our aspirations, and our abilities.
