Organized during Girl Scout Week in 1940 and reg- istered with the national organization in January 1941, it is the oldest troop in Wythe County. Miss Kathryn Etter is the troop leader and Miss Mary Brown Cassell is the assistant leader. The troop meets every Wednesday afternoon in the school 114 brary.
