Kneeling--Mgr. Billy Zimmerman, Dick Judd, Alvin Schenk, Willard Reynolds, Bill Wall, Roy Day. Mgr. Ed Struchen. Standing-Asst. Coach Dennis, Larry Norby, Gary Fenton, Bob Halverson, Zane Buckley, DeVere Kent, Jarl Gibson, Coach Jack Hitt. BASKETBALL The basketball team wound up with a fairly successful season. The season's record stood at 9 won and 7 lost while the conference record was 7 wins and 5 losses, good enough for a third place finish. The team was quite young with two juniors and a sophomore making the starting five for a good part of the year. The team showed good reserve strength with any one of the reserves capable of taking over a starting position, which most of them did at one time or another. Oakley was the only team to defeat us twice in conference play while we won two games each from Buhl and Filer and split with Burley, Jerome, and Gooding. At the district tournament the Pirates had tough luck in losing close games to Burley and Jerome to be eliminated from the tournament. Co-Captains ROY DAY Guard BILL VVALL F07'r1lff1'rfI
