For the first time in many years a junior high school is functioning as a separate unit. It is also the first time for Big Spring Junior High to have its own annual. The annual was named El Palomar, meaning The Roundup, by Charline Eudy in our Name the Annual Contest. We hope that the Junior High is a school that will last by itself for many years, and we also hope that El Palomar will last equally as long. lt is with this hope that we, the staff of the El Palomar, present this first edition to our fellow students with an expression of our appreciation to them and to the members of the faculty for the splendid cooperation and assistance we have received from them and without which this annual would not have been possible. This is your book--may it ever be a living memory of the days you spent in Big Spring Junior High School. --The Annual Staff .5 ,H T T l, fr 'l' E so e - ox, l l' - gl . w e T l il lf l l . l 1 i ' 7 i x I ,PA Q l 'T if ips. a, s s fu H J - l ll 1, , fi -- -., --f-- -- I llilv-lf hi M' 'l Wt K f 5 x 3 K Board of EducaUon Marvin Miller, President These civic-minclecl Big Spring citizens make up the Board of Education.
