Bock Row: John Story, Baseball The Bears started the season in fine fashion by winning ten straight games after an opening season loss to Gate City, Virginia. The Bears went on to compile an over-all l8-8 won-lost record. Winning the Western Division Cham- pionship, finishing second in the District Tournament, and placing Butch Rader, Mike Price, J. H. Stevens, and David Bruce on the All-Star team were some of the rewards reaped by the Bears during the season. Mike Price was also selected as the Most Valuable Player in the Western Division. lt was a very outstanding season for the Bears of '64, Sid Hatfield. J. H. Stevens is warming up before a game.
