The Hobo Party was a great success. Effie lolmson was crowned Queen of l-lobos and Luther Arnwine, King. Della Bruce and Leon Fair were selected as the best dressed hobos in the crowd. The Beauty Ball was the tirst of its kind for Rule and we are all proud of the way it was presented, Lowell Blanchard and lerry Collins were Masters of Ceremonies and the judges were Miss Geary Reynolds, Mr. Bill Dyer, and Mr. Skeet Tallent, The contestants were chosen by the boys of the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes, Before going on the staqo, each girl drew a number so that the judges might distinguish them in this manner. We held our Senior Prom Saturday, February 2l, l948, at Whittle Springs Ballroom. Our school colors wewre used for decorating, The couples in the grand march came through a hugh, golden heart to music of Goodbye to Rule , written by Barba'ra Amburn, orchestrated by Ernest lficlcson, and played by Coy Tucker's orchestra. .Rlhert Shipley was Chairman of the Prom, Barbara Amcurn, Co-Chairman, Pauline Heatherly, Secretaryg and l-lerkert Mynati Treasurer. The dance programs were ,nfide by Ruby Pittnvin, Nana Anderson and Betty Clark. Cur Bacculareate Sermon wwill be enjoined with the hiaiz scltools of the city of Knoxville including Knoxville 'fl ,121 School, Stair VllOf'lllllC 1l School, arid Rule lligh Srhool. The Commencement exercise will be held at the Cen- -ethodist Church.
