The juniors defended the Hag, and the rush was to last three hours. The pole was a large iron pipe covered with lard, and the Flag was made of galvanized iron. The seniors wereeBrown, Catitain; Hood, Ebbert. E. Johnson, and Edwards. The juniors wereeShinkle. Captain: Simrall. McConnell, Carpenter, II. Johnson. Perkins. Swain. Cronninger. Applegate, Heizer. and Marty. wwwmww awwwm wwwwwmmaww Base : Ball The Base-hall Team has been organized and hope for a successful season. At eight o'clock on Saturday morning. October '351. the seniors r115heLl for the First time. fully determined 11 t annihilate their opponents, but found it was a harder task than they had expected. The juniors were held tn the 1H Ih' by a large belt. and the seniors being unable to pull them away. got a ladder. placed it against the pole. and one of them climbed up and tried to cut the hag while the others kept the juniors back. He had about succeeded when the ladder broke and he fell among the juniors and was captured. The juniors then left their post and captured the remaining seniors, who were quickly tied to the pole. This ended the rush which had lasted for two home and a half. and left the juniors victorious.
