DR. WALTER L. BRAUER Principal Our world is ahout to witness ever fuller development in technology and still more rapid changes. The differential hetween technology and human ahility to work out adjustments will become all the more acute. To help meet the challenge it would he well for all to keep two thoughts in mind. First, it is not enough to have knowledge and he able to think right, we must, also, possess a certain hreadth of feeling and sympathy. We need to try to understand human destiny and the purposes of life as well as to know facts and reason well. Secondly, keep in mind that no individual is genuinely and lastingly happy unless he has something hcyond himself to care ahout and work for. In serving others, he it individuals, groups, or causes, come self' realization as indicated hy Frank Crane when he said, Your sole contrihution to the sum of things is yourself. if 10
