The halls of King miss one these days, a man of patience and perseverance, one whose humor caused many a smile. For ten years Air. Enin Engen served Rufus King as an advance commercial teacher. Born in Whitehall, Wisconsin on March 19, 1910, he was graduated from the high school there, then from State Teachers College in Whitewater. In 1935, Mr. Engen came to King where he endeared himself to the hearts of students and faculty alike. But on January 14, 1945, he was suddenly called from this world. He willingly gave of his time, effort and cooperation for the betterment of King. He was a simple man who loved the finer things in life and was constantly striving for higher objectives. It is a comforting thought to know that death is but a passing phase; that Mr. Engen has gone from the troubles of this world and into a haven of peace and quiet.
