STUDENTCOUNCIL NEWS The Rudyard High School Student Council is an organization made un of two represenatives from each high school class whose goal is to try and make school life more enjoyable. Student Council members are stationed in every study hall to handle the check-out lists and, in general, offer their assistance to the study hall teacher. The Council earns money by sponsoring movies, for the school and also putting on dances for the high school students. This year the Student Council purchased a Public Addressiystem for the school and for school activities. It sure is a great help at basketball games and assembly programs. Another function of the student council is controlling school activities. Before any class may sponsor a major activity they must have their representatives bring it before the Council for approval. At the beginning of each semester each class elects two delegates to represent their class as Student Council members. They also elect two alternates to fill in if one or both of their representatives can't be there for a meeting. lst Semester Officers 2nd Semester Officers President ------ Gary Salo President ------ Gary Salo Vice President-Eugene Ross Vice President-George Berkompas Secretary ------ Charlene Nayback Secretary ------ Sara Eesteman Treasurer ------ Varen Hakola Treasurer ------ Karen Uakola Advisor -------- Nr.
