h WU' WA Claes officers were elected the first Uednesday morning he first thing on the N1RdS of the officers of the upper three classes was, of course, tne plans for initiation The weather man was good to us and gave us a perfect night for initiation I'm sure we all had fun The freshman pleasure CTD of serving the upperclassmen at the nicnic When the party came to an end and WCoachW said that initiation was finally over all of the now 'full pledgedn freshmen heaved a sigh of relief Nb more being bossed around and having to wait on the upperclassmen October 30 will always be a memorable day for the Juniors It was then that those flashy per sonalized class r1ngs arrived I think the Junior class should be congratulated for the 5 per job they did on the class play Orchids to Mr Taylor, too had the all of for his excellent Job of drecting. January 25 we all had the difficult task of picking five girls out of high school to be the candidates for our Homecoming queen. Those lucky girls were Dorothy, Lois. Theresa, WG1nger,U and Phyllis. Congrats girls! We had the pxivilege of having two German boys going to school here this year. One day Wwillyn and Reinhold gave us a talk about Germany. I'm sure everyone will agree that it was very interesting. fl State tests- that's what have been staring us in the face the last reek After anyone has seen as many as re have they'C never forget them One good thing we only had them in half day sessions Helen rhy did your face get so red the other morning in band when dr Anderson asked you to tell about your trip to Des Ioines to All State Band? I'm sure it cou1dn't have been that you and Dot A did anything that you rere ashamed to tell us about Judging from the mouthwater ing aromas coming from the home ec room during the last period of the day, some of the high school boys are really becoming good cooks Congratulations to Dolores. Helen Dorothy S and Vanda' I'm sure they fill do a grand job of leading the crowd in cheering our basketball team on to victory Mr Anderson's station wagon surely was packed the day he took 8 girls to the band clinic at Forest City. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't only the 8 girls and Mr. Anderson that made the car so full. There were suit- cases, instru ent cases, and band suits shoved in where there wasn't someone sitting. State Champs again! The R. H. S. band won a Division I at State Contest in Sheffield on May 3.
