Alrhough rhe physical appearance of RHS was srill rhe same, srudenrs found rhar many changes hod raken place over rhe sum mer. Heading rhe lisr of changes was a new princi pal, Mr. Doug Huckoby. Mr. Huckaby, former principal of Nuevo Visra, enrhusiosrically srored, I really like ir here! Orher changes in odminis rrcrion occurred when Mr. Joe Werner, Vice Principal, decided he would enjoy being bock in rhe classroom. Mr. Rex Moore, Dean of Sru denrs or Jurupo Jr. High, was selecred ro roke Mr. Werner ' s place. ... rhey really look nice. Ir gives rhem sophisricorion ... When dosses finolly began, srudenrs rushed ro be on rime, os o new rordy policy was pur inro effecr. Alrhough many srudenrs did nor agree wirh rhe policy, ir was obvious rhar rhe plan worked. Black and gold became an en- forced fad for for rhose in PE. The new dress code required srudenrs ro wear block and gold uniforms wirh white socks and rennis shoes. Ear- ly in rhe foorboll season, rhe band appeared in new uniforms. They boosted disrincr pride and doss as rhey paraded onro rhe field wearing rheir ruxedos and rop hors. They really look nice.
