MECHA Highlights Mexican Fesriviries Folk Dancers Perform Dur- ing Cinco de Moyo S ponsored by MECHA, rhe Grupo Folklonico de Delias Arres, or Folk Dancing Group of Fine Arrs, was rhe highlighr of RHS ' s Cinco de Mayo cele- brorion. The lunch rhrough fifth period assembly was presented by RHS srudenrs and alumni, who manifested their holiday spirit rhrough Mexican Donees. The fesrivity was resumed the following night. May 8, at the Jurupo Communi- ty Center for a dinner donee. There was only one difference in MECHA ' s hustling and bustling about at Christmas time, and that of other clubs — MECHA won the Christmas Belle competition. Members solicited $287.00 and presented Mory Martinez with the title of Christmas Belle. Other prosperous fund reisers were the Cinco de Moyo dinner dance, cor woshes, bake soles, and on on-going paper drive. Their profit was invested in personalized jer- seys for oil active dub members, four $100.00 scholarships — two academic and two voco- tionol — and various community projects, | . 190 Rubidouxs LIFE
