L-xpressing emotions and feelings wos rhe ma- jor goal of rhe choir os rhey demonsrrored rheir musicol rolenr rhroughour various performances and concerts. Practicing during class and on Thursday nights, the sixty-five choir members worked to improve their artistic abilities. The choir prospered under the talented lead- ership of Donna Tozer, v ho worked with them to strive for new goals. All the practice and hard work the choir put in really paid off. We learned to work and sing together as one big choir, stated choir member Dionno Art. The festival choir, consisting of the Madrigals, the Accopella Choir, and the Jazz Choir, mode numerous performonces throughout the year. The Christmas concert provided inspiration to oil who listened. The Jester Hoirston concert took place at Roincross Square. The Spring Concert, held in May, wos the last performonce of the season. The singers raised their voices to varied songs, ranging from Bach to modern music. Incorporated with the choir, rhe music club offered its support by raising money to assist rhe singers. The Annual Checker Tournament, on off-campus candy sole, and o successful Club Veek raised funds. The six queen condidores glanced or one onorher anxiously, wondering who would be oworded rhe privilege ro reign as rhe Prom Queen. Finally, as rhe suspence heighrened. Missy Johnson announced rhe lucky winner. Catherine Doyer was crowned rhe 1981-82 Prom Queen. Sadly, rhe magic evening soon ended, bur precious memories will always be rrecsured. | Prom Court: 1.
