Al- rhough we losr, spirits were nor severely dam- pened. Srudenrs manifested rrue sporrsmonship as rhey departed from rhe gym to arrend rhe donee or UCR. The queen condidotes were Kris Heotly, Jo Askew, and Misti Dawson. Misri wos crowned queen by Shori DIeck, rhe 1981 homecoming queen Kim Camp, Rosolee Ciompitf and Down Moffhews mode up rhe Queen ' s Courr. Closs divisions bottled for poinrs during noon- time competitions. Conresrs included musicol chairs, o wheelbarrow race, and a milk chug-a- lug contest that moy hove cured 1st place win- ner, Craig Johnson, of any further cravings for Q toll gloss of ice cold milk! The Senior Class wos jusriy awarded rhe spirir stick or rhe homecom- ing pep roily with on accumulation of 49 points, and the Junior Closs ortoined Ist place in the mini-floor comperition. The six queen condidores glanced or one onorher anxiously, wondering who would be oworded rhe privilege ro reign as rhe Prom Queen. Finally, as rhe suspence heighrened.
