The exciremenr of rhe previous week would climax os rhe 1981- 82 Doskerboii Homecoming Queen was crowned. The candidores waited porienrly for halfrime, gloncing or one onorher nervously. Finally, rhe magic moment arrived ond the spectators ' ex- cired conversation subsided ro quiet whispers. The condidates; Jo Askew, Misti Dawson, ond Kris Heofly, were escorted to the center of the court. The announcement was mode, and Misti Dawson was crowned as the 1981-82 queen amid happy tears and rodiont smiles. Jo Askew and Kris Heotly reigned as Misti ' s princesses. The queen condidotes were Kris Heotly, Jo Askew, and Misti Dawson.
