Horse Comperirions Bring Many Awards srorred off wirh one mare five years ago, and I now hove six horses, ' ' srared Renee Weif- zel. Renee travels ro Pomona fairgrounds, Son- ro Darboro, ond New Mexico ro show her well groomed horses. All of her devorion and work hove paid off, for she hos approximoreiy 147 ribbons, 25 first places, ond 12 rrophies. Renee won rhese by riding English, Western, Halter style and by borrei racing her mare Gymkana. Renee has her own arena in which she con train all of her horses, When working a horse to its full capacity, you want to worl them about two hours, stated Renee. Renee thinl ;s that, The best part of having a mare is when rhe mare has a foal. The PSAT, Prelimi- nary Scholastic Aprirude Tesr, was beneficiol ro many Juniors wirh rhe rhoughr of college in mind.
