Lindie has been serious in her running for rhe posr rwo years. During rhe cross counrry season she ron approximorely rhirry miles each week. Weekly long disronce runs of six ro eighr miles developed her enduronce obiliry. Lindie ' s running has brought her many awards. Losr yeor in cross counrry she was awarded mosr spirited and in track she re- ceived most inspirational. When asked how she feir abour the cross country team going to CIF Lindie replied, Ev- eryone worked hard ro moke this o winning season. I wish more sophomores would have given rhe fund-raising projecr rheir 100% efforr, rhen we would be doing greor, srored Linda Pig- nofo, Secrerary for rhe Sophomore Class. Chrisrmos belie and b eau, condy soles, and cor washes were jusr some of rhe mony fund- raisers. The mosr popular fund-roisers were can- dy soles. The sophomores hod five condy soles during rhe school yeor, raising opproximorely 50% of rhe sophomore doss money The condy sold was selecred in on ordinance wirh school board policy adopred in 1980. Thar policy limired srudenrs ro selling only candy rhor was nurririous. Memories were shared by srudenrs as rhey charred wirh rheir friends before school, during brunch, and lunch. Srudenrs could be seen exchanging picrures, summer addresses, and phone numbers wirh rheir friends. The memories from Rubidoux High School will live on in my mind, said Teddy Blanco.
