She waslook- ing well and happy but very busy with her little family cf six chubby girls and a hard working husband. After leaving Rozel, I boarded a Transcontinental Airline Special for Kansas City To my surprise and joy I was greeted by a very lovely hostess who graduated in my high school class, Alice Snodgrass We had a nice visit and hope to meet again soon In Kansas City I decided to take a taxi to my hotel As I climbed into the taxi I thought I recognized the driver but it just didn't seem possible As we drove on my curiosity got the bestof me,so I asked his name and he grlnned and wlnked back at e w1th,Hhy goodnessdodt tell me you don't remember your old friend, Don Sears'H How rne changes 1 ten short years After getting comfortably settled in my hotel I decided to take in amnvie but I wasn't particular so I Just went to the nearest theater You canimagine my surprise when I discovered the star actor was 'Dazzling Dizzyu, who was better known to the Rozel High School class of 1951 as Jimmy Kitch The next morning I was to leave for Central Station when I thought I heard valtz As I rounded the corner I saw a but you can't imagine my pleasure when Bruntzel' We had a short v1s1t and he short on cashn Chicago I was hurring tomard Grand the familiar strains of theElue Skirt well dressed man playlng the mxaphone I saw that it was good ole' Nelvin explalned he had Hjust run a little when I was finally seated on the tra1n I bought a newspaper thinking I'd catch up on the world afrairs The headllne read, rirst Trip to Mars success ful, caught my eye I read the article and found the remarkable scientist to be Dr George Robert Powers As I remember back in high school was good in science The train had a two hour stop at a small town in Illinols, walk I noticed a new bank building was being erected and as I over to the bank I saw it was being built by Welty and Co I then boss's wife, the former bartha Reinhardt, givlng orders Notlcing days Bob I took a wandered saw the she was busy and as I had to run I didn't get a chance to talk to her Finally the traln pulled into the station at Chicago and I assc bled y luggage looking finally When Virginia Russell They knew me were very sophisticated looking married yet After lunch I went to to the train, my luggage hurrying toward me and I Spreier He looked just noticed a ouaint li tle I went in I was greeted and climbed off I hadn't had lunch so I decided to find a nice restaurant Most of the restaurants looked dirty and crowded, but I tea room called, 'The Twin Teas by Koh, you couldn't guess who,J Dorothy and at once and seated me at the head table They and told re with a sly laugh they weren't my hotel The next morning when I was again going seemed extra heavy, so I halled a redcap He came recognized him as our old high school clown, nenneth like he always did and he told me he was happily I had a good trip to New Vork Since I had a two day stop there before I sailed I decided to go to a concert of the All Boys Orchestra As the curtain was drawn, I was very astounded to find a pleasant looking lady as the director I noticed that she had a rather familiar giggle when one of the boys whispered soret lng to her Glancing down at my program I w s shockedto see the director's name to be Miss Nancy Quisenberry Well, she ay still be Miss, but how much longer w1ll it last with all thos good looking boys? The next day I decided to do a little last minute snoop ng It as late in the afternoon when I heard a politician pleading for votes as mayor of New York City I wasn't very interested, out as I walked by I saw tne pol itician to be none other than Richard Kershner Nobody seemed to be any attention to hlm so I began to cheer as loudly as I could tor him one at my elbow sneered at me, UAW, he a1n't nothir U I snapped back with, H'ell he graduated from high school with me and he's a good guy fore long I had quite a group cheering for Richard so I left with a P S Some at hlm ll Be clear conscience that he woxld soon become mayor O D U J O .
