During the practice sessions the reserve s(iiiad gave the varsity cagers many rugged moments. Many Icng hours and hard wurk vere In-hind the team. The team revolved around Carl Ihdten. Alan LaRue. Bruce Hatfield. Scot Fisher, and Mark Huddleston. Yell leaders. The happy yelling and singing of the Burris fans, similar to that of our own onK minutes before, was a droning nuisance leaving an emptv feeling in each of our stomachs. Th(jugh there was no real pain, the tears flowed freely and even the boys had triiulile keeping their composure. It vas over. It onlv lasted about an lii ' ur. but it seemed like eternity.
