Football Opens Athletic Season INEXPERIENCE HANDICAPS GRIDIRONERS It was a winless season for coach John Livergood and his Redbird crew. In his first year of coaching, Mr. Livergood, a Ball State football star, was handicapped by an inexperi- enced varsity. Last year ' s graduation left many holes in Royerton ' s lineup. The Redbird men virtually fought and literally kicked their way through a rugged seven-game schedule. How- ever, the boys were sincere in their effort and the fans loyal in their backing throughout a year of rebuilding. Tom DeWitt and Marlin Craig did a fine job as assistant coaches.
