For the most part, the 56-57 Redbirds had a very successful sports season. Sports- manship, desire, and ability on the part of each athlete helped to accomplish this feat. However, our boys needed the full support of the coaches, student managers, faculty members, and student body. Special recog- nition should also be given to our athletic director, Harold Hutchison, and principal, Loyd Penrod, for their help in making the sports' season a successful one. Highlighting the season's record was a fifth place win in Muncie Sectional meet. Team members who placed in the section- al were Ed Leicht, iunior, 103 pound class, third place, Ogal Claspell, senior, 145 pound class, fourth place, Howard Estep, senior, 165 pound class, fourth place, and Charles Hillman, junior, 175 pound class, fourth place.
