HIGHLIGHTING HEALTH In the interest of safety to the pupils, a school intirmary was established this year. Situated in the iunior high building, the tirst aid room is equipped for minor iniuries. Mrs. Carolyn Buchanan, R.N., is on duty throughout the day. She works under the authorization of Doctor Richard Ko, school doctor, who is on call for serious emergencies. Doctor Ko also directs the school immunization program. Mrs. Buchanan treated over 1500 students in a three month period, averag- ing 26 daily. The greatest number treated in one day was 44. These ailments includ- ed almost everything from a horsebite to a toothache. Moreover, several teachers and cafe- teria cooks have taken advantage ofthe services offered by the intirmary.
