dw pwikw Ladies and gentlemen, this is your television special events editor bringing you the tenth annual Homecoming of Royerton High School over RHS-TV. This celebration was begun back in the school year 1952-53 and has grown to be one of the grandest spectacles of all times. Festivities last for one full week and wind up with the final football clash of the season and a formal ball in the newly-constructed combination auditorium and ballroom. The Senior Class of 1953 is being honored this year. Let's see what the members of the '53 class are doing now. Here's one of our best know classmates, Senator from Indiana, James Dawson. Peggy Dungan is Jim's private secretary. We have two former athletes turned politicians. Bill Wilhelm and Byron Humbarger run the city's garbage collection. Their campaign slogan was Bill and Byronis Best Garbage Collection. Sarah Morgan also has government connections. She owns Morgan's Minks for Government Gifts. Royerton School houses eleven 1953 graduates. Bob Anacker is head football coach of the undefeated Redbirds and Jim Ray is assistant coach. Both Bob and Jim played pro football until two years ago. Tonight they led the team to a 52-3 victory over Gary Froebel. Ronnie Ratliff is teaching math, Jean Addington is head of the English department, and Jean Angel is teaching the first grade. Shirley Collings is the physical education director. The television station, RHS-TV is manned by some '53 graduates. John Burt is newscaster and has a special program of The Pre- vention of Alcoholism. This program is directed by Herschel Brown. Yours truly is special events editor and -Mary jo Madill is fashion editor. Betty Moore has charge of all commercials, and make-up director is Mary Buchanan. Roger Benner and Don Myers were contractors for the beautiful new auditorium. Quite a number of our group are happily married. Don and Merilyn fChismanj Nelson have twin boys, Mike and Ike. Don owns '.'Donnies' Used Car Sales. Ted and Janet fArmstrongQ Fancher are living in Los Angeles where Ted owns the T 8t I Washing Machine Co. They have a five-year-old boy. Carolyn QWattersj Willliams is in Nome, Alaska. Dick is a school teacher. There are five little Williams. Art and Charlotte CRouschj Snider live in Texas. Art manages all the Sinclair filling stations and Charlotte is the Superintendent of the Houston Hospital. Lila Qjohnsonj Dalton is also in Texas. She and Fielden own a beef-cattle ranch. Barbara fGo0dej Holbert is here in Muncie living in one of the old Ball mansions. Shorty is president of the Indiana Welders Association. Lois Gilland married Fred P. Clink, the millionaire coal dealer, and is residing in Hawaii. Pat CDixonj Mathias was the third Dixon sister to marry the third Mathias brother. She is general manager of Walgreens Drug Stores.

Jean Angel, will all the senior waste paper, that Mr. Stebbins is always complaining about, to the Senior Class of 1954. I, Jean Addington, will my seat in the assembly to any cold-blooded junior who can stand the radiator! I, Delma Wagner, being of sound body and questionable mind, do hereby will my civics book to any junior who will take as good care of it as I did by never reading it. I, I, Roger Benner, will my civic book to Lewis Heaton just for the asking of it. Judy Houk, will my trig book to any junior girl who likes to be the only girl in the class. Ralph Smith, will the right to go to the lakes on the 4-th of july to Gerald Robling, if I, he doesn't have to stay all night in Warsaw. I, the right I, James E. Dawson, being of blank mind, do hereby will to my sisters, Pat and Faye Dawson, to take care of John Stebbins in,anyway they see fit. Robert Tracy, will my tuba to anyone who will carry it. , I also will my bookkeeping book to anyone who is willing to put in long hours of pushing a pencil. I, Bill Wilhelm, will my old Dobbs to Dick Bunner. To future band members, I, Mary Jo Madill,will the right to turn left on right flank signal whenever they please to do so. I, Charlotte Snider, will to anyone who can stand goose pimples and wear cardigan sweaters all week, my seat in the assembly. ' I, Nell McCoskey, will my desire to be a good basketball player to Monica Wright and wish her luck, that she might get fouls when her guard slaps her. I, Sara Morgan, having nothing to will, will it to Sharon and Kay who couldn't use it anyway. I, Charles Robertson, will my size 28 football pants to any player who cannot find a pair when suits are handed out next fall. I also will to John Wolfe my seat in civics class. I, Joe Ann Lawson, will refuse to will any will to anyone because I have no will to will. I, Don Nelson, will to Bob Miller the right to take a three-day vacation providing he has per- mission. I, Donald Alexander, being of sound body and questionable mind, do hereby bequeath to any junior who wants it, my ability to be moved around in the assembly. I, Merilyn Rowland, will my scribbled shorthand notes to anyone who has plenty of time to figure them out. I, Lila Johnson Dalton, will to Estell Dalton, my ability to meet good-looking Cubans on the train while en route to New York. I, William Lawson, will to Dick Bunner the right to sleep in the assembly or classrooms at any time. I, Ralph Meyers, being of unsound mind, do hereby will all my artistic ability to anybody that can get along with Miss McCoskey. I, Harold Smith, being of weak body and questionable mind, do hereby will to any junior the key to the darkroom to sleep in.

Elaine Hesson is a typist for Western Union in Indianapolis and Mildred Heintzelman is sec- retary to the general manager of Mafshall Fields in Chicago. Delma Wagner is private secretary to the president of General Motors in Detroit. Charlie Richards made himself famous by winning the 500 at Indianapolis last year. His car was built by Jim Fuson, owner of Fuson's Full-Race Engine House. Another successful winner is Don Alexander who has raised the last three Kentucky Derby winners. Ralph Smith and Bob Tracy are railroad presidents. Ralph heads the Nickel Plate and Bob runs the C. 86 O. Railroad. George Thornburg is a Commander in the Navy and has charge of all the payrolls for the Indiana Naval Centers. Virginia Addington is in New York City modeling at Saks Sth Avenue. Joe Ann Lawson is a lady lumberjack in West Virginia. Sue Jackson is an airline stewardess for TWA. Ben Hottinger owns a greenhouse in San Diego. Don Gray owns a hot-clog stand next to Benls place. Donnie Rees has made his fortune by being original. He owns Rees' Beverage Co. His motto is The Hottest Drink in Town, We Squeeze Onions in Texasf, Janet McCord runs Jan's Beauty Salon in Boston. Nell McCoskey heads the crew of engineers who are building the Trans-American Turnpike from New York City to Los Angeles. Bill Lawson is manager of all the Indiana drive-in theatres. Ralph Myers is cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune. Harold Smith has developed a new photography tech- nique and has a portrait studio in Memphis. Clarence Gibson owns a large year-round resort on Lake Michigan. Janet Ertle bought Radio City Music Hall and converted it into the world's largest night club. Charlie Robertson is manager of Robertson's Rockettes. Phyllis Long is now appearing at Carnegie Hall as the world's only concert pianist who can't read music. Ladies and gentlemen the floor show is starting. Stan Kenton and his band are playing to- night. He features three of our old classmates: Beverly Fogle, Carol Robinson and Gloria Eller. Beverly is now known as Bev Fox, the glamor gal of the roller rink. Carol and Gloria joined Stan after winning Godfrey's Talent Show as a song and dance team. The renowned author and world traveler has just arrived. How was Borneo, Marilyn Row- land? Marilyn reports that in the interior of Borneo there are still some who have never heard of Roycrton High School. I'm sure that will be taken care of in the next ten years.
