At this time we found ourselves going through one initiation after another, just as all fresh- men must do. Two new people who struggled through this year with us were Janet Armstrong from Sulphur Springs, and Janet Ertle from Wilson Jr. High. In our junior year, between sponsoring a carnival, giving a play and welcoming three new students we were kept quite busy. The new Redbirds were Nell McCoskey from Pekin, Ralph Myers from Central, and Jean Angel from Greenwich, Ohio. Our Senior year has been crammed full of excitement. Out of our group has come the Pan- orama Staff, The Review Staff, and several members of the various sports teams. Joining us just in time to make Royerton their Alma Mater was Mildred Heintzlemen from Cromwell, and Arthur Snider from Selma. 0 K if M i ,, i :l' Q A, ,,L 1, . ., . . .f M Eglvz .A V . PI-IYLLIS LONG Editor m Cbze Z9 THIS IS THE STORY At the beginning of the school year twelve seniors went to room 11 to combine their talents in the production of the 1953 year book. Being inexperienced, we depended a great deal on Mr. Phillips, our advisor. He explained the work that lay ahead and from this point our work began. Throughout the months that followed, pictures were taken, ideas were collected and everyone bent to the task of getting the book into shape. Proudly we present this, the 1953 Panorama to you. May you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it.
