ROBERT CARMICHAEL In addition to her duties in the office, Miss McClaren found two periods a day to help Miss Hahn give the high school girls their daily exercise. Miss Hahn also did double duty as an English teacher . . . Although kept fairly busy with their physical training classes, Mr. Posey and Mr. Carmichael found time to teach commercial arithmetic. Their duties as head basketball coach and assistant, respectively, kept them occupied on weekday evenings . . . The three gentlemen pictured immediately below guided the R.H.S. football team to its best season on record. In addition to their physical training classes, Mr. Locke taught three mathematics classes, Mr. Baker two drafting classes, and Mr. Bixler three social science classes . . . HERSCHEL BROWN Mr. Stebbins undoubtedly found his days slightly monotonous sometimes this year because of the fact that his biology students were divided into three groups. However, he found adequate diversion during his assmbly periods . . . Mr. Brown found himself quite busy this year. His duties as head of the physical training depart- ment coupled with those as Sponsor of the junior class left him with little spare time . . . ln the picture on the left below are the two ladies at Royerton who help to get the students' tongues twisted and then attempt to untwist them. In other Words, they are the foreign language teachers, Mrs. Dupouy and Mrs. Lambert. Mrs. Dupouy's Latin classes and Mrs. Lambert's Spanish classes were substantially larger this year than those of previous years . . . Mrs. Hughes again enjoyed the pleasure of instructing America's future homemakers in her home economics classes.
