IN MEMORY A shadow passed over the communtiy and school as neighbors, friends, classmates, schoolmates, and school children realized that a leader had gone from their midst. The passing of our friend and counseller, Mr. Lowell Staf- ford, is keenly felt by all of us at the Royerton School. All of us know that Mr. Stafford was an industrious, business-like execu- tive who thanked God every morning for the work to be done that clay. Mr. Stafford gl-oried in the opportunity to work and to serve his community and especially his school which he guided so thoroughly. VVe account for Mr. Stafford's concern toward his community and school by the fact that he graduated from Royerton. Again, Mr. Stafford's father was a school man at heart and gave of his time and talents toward the Royer- ton School and community, as well as toward higher education in the college that is now Rall State. Therefore, it seems but natural that Mr. Lowell Staf- ford would be a leader in his own right and be an exponent of things cultural will and of a progressive nature. NVQ miss his pleasant greetingg his encouragement stimulated us to have more confidence in ourselves in our quest for knowledge. His spirit has left an impressionable mark upon his own practices- 'llo look 'llo look To look To lend Our memory of him us. May we say that he has taught us all of up and not down, forward and not back, out and not in, and a hand. always serve us as knowing a true friend and servant of the Royerton School. Wle feel deeply blessed to have had the privilege of the association of so fine a personality. 4
