Oh, you see l have an appoinTmenT in New York CiTy To make an audifion aT The MeTropoliTan Opera House. l'm afraid l'll be laTel The manager, who has been wafching her closely, asks, Aren'T you Rosalind Turner? Why, yes, she answers. Remember me? l'm James Hann. Oh, of course, Jim. This is a co-incidence, isn'T iT? JusT Then The plane comes roaring info view. Amid ex- planaTions ThaT she musf hurry, James helps her inTo The plane and calls, LoTs of luck, Rosy! As The plane soars from The field, Rosalind seTTles back in her seaT, prepared for The iourney. Affer reading a magazine awhile. she grows resfless. The sfewardess is walking by and Rosalind exclaims, Glenda BroThersl The air hosfess glances aT her in surprise. Well, Rosalind Turnerl -whaT are you doing here? For a few minufes The ofher passengers receive liffle aT'TenTion from Their hosfess while Rosalind explains. NoTic- ing a ring on Glenda's leff hand, Rosalind inquires who The lucky fellow is. You probably know, Glenda replies. lT's Eugene McKin- ley, our piloT. He's flying The plane now. Perhaps we shall find Them. As They walk back To meef The resf of The group, Dick Tells her of his posifion as Mayor of RoyerTon. Upon graduafing from R. H. S.. I was unanimously appoinfed To ThaT office. My wife, The former Alvena STinneTT, and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Yohey, Mrs. Yohey was formerly JuaniTa McKinley, came wifh us. Here They are now. AfTer Talking over old Times, The hours quickly pass and The plane arrives in New York in a shorT Time. Remembering ThaT They would have To dine quickly, The group hurries info The resTauranT. The head waiTer, whom They recognize as Frederick Julius, shows Them To a Table. Fred informs Them ThaT RoberT Sfafford owns El Puco , and is financially successful. The orchesTra, having Taken an in- Termission, refurns To The sTand and begins playing. The group cenTers Their aTTenTion on The band-leader and are asfonished To see Harry Wilhelm, who is announcing The sur- prise aTTracTion of The week. OuT come Three beaufiful, vi- vacious, glamour-girls-Mary ScoTT, Marfha Sifred, and Velma Shaffer. They soon have The male audience swooning from Their crooning. ' Suddenly The noise in The room ceases as The maesfro makes a special announcemenT: VVe inferrupf This program To reporf TThaT Marcelene Coafes and Blanche Brand, navy nurses, and Shirley Young, foreign correspondenf, who were recenfly reporfed missing when The U.S.S.
