Davis il'hcre's a tiny elf clad in forest green swinging on a cobweb in a corner of the attic. Another is perched on the shoulder of a portly dress dummy while two more lurk behind a Victorian monstrosity now mercifully covered with dust. 'lihese industrious little men. pausing in the midst of their work to watch the children playing in the attic, might be compared to the busy Lowerclassmen of RIICS. Underclassmen get oil' to a good start in Seventh Grade when they sell schedule pencils and seeds. Seventh Graders also enter poster and essay contests and frequently emerge victorious. ln the Eighth Grade pupils sell bookcovers and seeds in conjunction with the Seventh Graders and join with them to visit Niagara Falls in june. The Freshmen keep busy with the candy sales and dances which they sponsor. A bake sale and the selling of booster buttons also help them fill their class treasury. To begin the year, Sophomores hold a football dance, and a card sale is also on their years agenda. 'luniors conduct a stationery drive in October: later they assume charge of dances after basketball games. With the coming of spring. they really- begin working. First. there is the Junior Play followed by the Farewell llall and Moving Up Day which they plan together with the Seniors. ,Xnd then - it's time for the busy students of Rl IGS to conclude their activities so the merry little elves are left alone in the attic once again! -lane Q6 We 'VX .f, Lesveaux SOPHOMORES Mr. Kane Front Row: R.
