This year there have many modifications in old programs along with the addition of many new ones. One major addition was the Student Assistance Program. The Student Assistance Program includes many different groups to deal with students in chemically dependent homes and support groups for chemically involved students. These groups were held during school, their size and how often they were held varied depending on each individual group. Another new advancement at Royall was the introduction of the computer in many aspects of education. The students were individually taught the basics of the computer and how it can help them in their studies. This year when the students returned to school they were greeted with brightly painted lockers, a new roof over the library and the gymnaisum had a fresh coat of paint. One addition to the track field was the building of a shed needed for storage of sports equipment. This shed is large enough for storage, restrooms, and a concession stand,
