Homecoming this year started on the week of October 1. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were spent working on floats and re- hearsing for skits. Everyone showed up Thursday night for the skits. After the skits came the most exciting event, the crown- ing of the queen. King Bruce Miller crowned Kathy Schaper queen. Friday was the big night for the football players, defeating the New Lisbon Rockets 21 to 7. At half time, the winners of the float and skit competition were an- nounced: juniors took first place for their float; seniors got first place with their skit. The spirit trophy was won by the seniors.

Students danced to the beat of the “Golden Nugget. Precious and Few, the Homecoming song, was sung by Sandy Wilson. The grand march was at 11:00 p.m. with the court couples marching around the fountain.
