Mid-terms circulate today, why are there so many absentees? Wonder if there are any birthdays coming up. I feel like having cake. School pictures are today. The day everyone's cowlicks stand up. O- IQ ' Another Thursday, these are getting monotonous! X YS!-X' , Magazine sales start today. Start begging. Tests, tests and more tests. 1 PTO preferred grape punch. I' Our Fall Dance, NO HIGH HEELS. Don't want to make pits for the basketball team to fall into. A dance at noon? Music was loud, lights were dim, seemed like night. But not back to 5th period? , Knives at school? Oh, for the pumpkin carving contest. BOOOOOOOOOO I love Fridays, especially this one. Mom, Dad, don't believe everything you hear. I do my homework, talk politely to all my teachers, never cheat and always come to class on time. Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a day to remember our war heroes . . . and a day off for the kids who have survived school this long! Feels like a Monday, but the week's half gone. That's good news. Okay, l'lI try to start a new systemg study first, then can I spend the rest of the evening on the phone? MORE homework? Are the teachers trying to make up for lost time? Yawn. That weekend went fast. I like the three-day kind myself. My best friend moved away today. l'll write, of course, but I need to look for anew buddy. Can you believe this, Class of '87, only 17 days 'til Christmas and only 19 'til Hanukkah? Collecting for the canned food drive sponsored by Student Council. That's a mountain of pork and beans! National Junior Honor Society went to ASU on the city bus! ASU was really glad to have us there, weren't they? And the dance is tonight, now, isn't that spayshul? How embarassing, Jenny and Kris wore the same dress to the dance. I don't mean the same one, at the same time, you know, like, they were alike. A band and chorus concert tonight. Hey, you guys are really good! It's raining again, pretty bleak. Hope it lets up before vacation begins. Akmarina Prak's fantastic drawing won the Student Council contest to redesign the Raider. ls he related to Michelangelo? I never saw so much red and green in one place! But who am I to complain? l'rn gone. See ya NEXT YEAR! Time flies when you're missing school and we sure took a crash landing today when we came back! Mean is what the teachers are. They expect us to be glad to be back, to have a mountain of homework, I need more time to be with my friends. Enough of this Studying, tests and research papers due yesterday. WARNING: Teachers of Royal Palm are plotting to rid themselves of 8th graders by hiring high school counselors. Jammin' to the Freedom Jam! Those guys are really entertaining. If you have to go to school, that's the way to go , . . assembly in the morning and concert in the afternoon!! Martin Luther King's birthday all over the land . . . but not here in Arizona. Who was that mystery man on campus? He sure left in a hurry. I think he ate in the cafeteria. God must hear the prayers of all my peers because the weather is great and we get out early! Okay, it didn't work. l didn't fool my teachers after all. l'll really have to work to raise those grades this semester, More new kids. Welcome to Royal Palm! Dicln'l like that cold weather back east, huh? End of the fifth month of school. l'm not crying, just wish time went taster, I want JUNE! I got more Raider Awards today. Three more and I can start dreaming of mouse ears. Mom said she's packing my sweaters away, weather is so warm. Is it spring already? Another one of those Fridays I love. Why does Monday have to come so soon? So many important things to dog sign up for Computer Dating, buy a ticket for the dance, go shopping, get together with the gang, why does school keep interfering? Can l borrow a dollar? I want to buy a carnation for that really cute guy. The Valentine Dance. Music was loud, the way I like it. Wow! l got six Valentine Grams, two of them were anonimus, ananamos, however you spell it. It feels like winter in Wisconsin. Welcome to Lake Royal Palm, boats can be rented at the Raider Store. Open House, was officially canceled by Noah, himself. But homeroom for an hour and a half in the dark was, uh, well, interesting. Spirit weekwas fun. Was that really a rock shirt Tom Vichers was wearing? Salt River Project brought their Time Machine to school. I want to go back to the future. Who are all those important looking people on campus? I liked Ladmo best. The band gave a great concert, I think there is hope for some of our talented musicians. l'm sleeping late. This is the kind of Monday I like, . I don't even want to think about this vacation ending.
