.Avg Student Council, with the commendable guidance of Ms. Nancy Oliveri, outdid themselves this year. President David Jackson or Vice President Jamie Wynn could be heard each day reading the announcements. The group sponsored a pumpkin carving contest among homerooms and later donated the jack-o-lanterns. Council decorat- ed the lovely Christmas tree in the cafeteria and a canned food drive for the United Methodist Church was a big success. Student Council initiated a contest to redesign the Raider mascot and Akmarina Prak won S25 for his outstanding drawing which was painted and displayed in the new gym. Valentine Grams and carnations were a highlight of the late winter season. The Raider store sold bookcovers, pencils and pens, pennants and buttons, bringing much needed funds into the Council treasury. Spirit week brought out a lot of crazy outfits and generated enthusiasm for students and teachers alike. lt was a great year! 'x'1 ' fstftix . .tmfw 1 .xi,'i A . .X . .
