MISS MARY SMITH MR DUNCAN McDONALD 51:4 Au Revoir Farewell to Miss Mary Smith and to Mr Duncan McDonald who are retiring Miss Smith after Z3 years of service and Mr McDonald who has been at Royal Oak High School Zl years will begin a life of leisure at the end of June l Led Three Lives makes a perfect title for our senior advisor lab placement manager and salesman Duncan S McDonald These three ,obs keep him busy all year e cluding two weks in August which he spends on his eighty acre farm near Bad Axe Michigan Mr McDonald began teaching at Royal Oak in l93-l and in his first semester here taught bookkeeping Since then he has instructed business principles commercial law and typing Next winter he and his wife plan to travel to Mexico but he intends to return and settle down in his home in Berkley Miss Mary Smith canoe to Royal Oak High School in Jan uory of l93O to teach mathematics and English She was surprised when a few years later she was asked to go into counseling She did t but somewhat hesitantly for she wasnt sure she would like it However she has enioyed it very much and we have certainly appreicated her help during our four years Part of Miss Smiths summers and week ends are spent decorating her cottage on Deer Lake. Also she has travelled through the West and into Mexico. This year she would like to make a trip to Hawaii.
