H, f X Teresajozwiak and Kathy Wiggs Shorthand contestants were Seniors, Teresa jozwiak and Kathy Wiggs Teresa placed first and Kathy won second in the district UIL competition. Lynn Falls competed in poetry interpretation and Lea Folmer placed as a district alternate in prose reading. UIL journalism students included juniors Frank Lacey, Eddie Lasker, and Sheila Pattison, and Seniors Trina Allen and Chris Glover, and Freshman Lea Folmer. Eddie, Lea, and Sheila were regional competitors. Sheila won a spot as state alternate. Maury Garvie was also a competitor in editorial writing, but was not available for a photo at this time. These students' sponsor was Mrs. Diane Wuthrich. 90
