From this area, oil, cotton, and chemical products are shipped to other parts of the world. The bay-front is pictured at the right. Lined with palm trees, olean- ders and other semi-tropical foliage, it in- cludes yacht basins, three piers, and a ter- raced seawall. The city's business section is dominated by modern hotels, office buildings, and churches. Tall palm trees grow through- out the downtown area. 'TN 7 n Tl 1111's TH: Wu. 11 X, ui ,- 11 .- 1-,ua . . Corpus Christi . . . Our Hom The big city of the coastal bend, Cor- pus Christi, Texas. is our home. We are proud to live in one of the fastest grow- ing cities in the nation, Located on beau' tiful Corpus Christi Ray, our city offers many opportunities for fun and recrea- tion for high school students. No matter where we go in later life. we will never forget all of the wonderful times we have had here during our high school days, not only on the campus but also in the city and adjacent areas of interest. ll We will always remember how we went to Padre Island on those lazy sum- mer days and soaked ourselves in the warm Texas sun . . . the dances on the 'l'-llead during the summer ',.. a full moon making a path of silver across the bay at night . , , how we rode up and down Chaparral yelling for our Bucca- neers . . . Saturday night when we all met at our favorite drive-in . . . the whole town going wild during Buccaneer Days...all these things mean home to us
