Gulf clouds hide the sun in the late afternoon shot of the gym. A shaft of sunlight spotlights the girls in the circle picture. Long shadows precede the late comers as they amble toward their first period class.

On our first day in high school, this building seemed large and foreboding to us. However, by the time that we are graduated it has become a warm sunny place where we feel quite at home. Flying in the gulf breeze the American fla and the S Lone Star of Texas make a colorful picture in the bright sunshine. The twin towers topped with red tile offer. a beautiful View of the tall buildings of our city. On the nights when we win at football, purple and gold victory lights illuminate the front of the school. On the Sunny Side of the Street...

Mr. Hoffman, assistant prinicpal, welcomes new and old students. When he has finished, they know the ropes. Members of the Welcome Commit- tee, Virginia Lozier, Karolen Win- ters, and Margaret Cavin, greet new students with Howdy tags. Students Plan Schedul Confused Sophomores listen attentively to instructions given by Mr. Hoffman. Their first assembly at Roy Miller is a different experience for them.
