Row 4: Brady Har- per, David Barrett, Steven Babbitt. CHESS CLUB SUCCESSFUL . . . The Royal Chess Club has a very outstanding record. The club went undefeated in region match during the period 1972 to the spring of 1976. Their plans to be just as suc- cessful were accomplished. They participated in matches with the other schools in the region and in the state tour- nament in March. Much of the success of the chess club H was the guidance and persistence of their advisor, Dale Slade. The club officers this year were: David Barrett, Concentration is the major factor in a chess game. President: Richard Gour, Vice-President: Alan Nakayu, Parliamentariang Nancy Yamashita, Secretary. To be in this group you must enter in the Roy High Science Fair with a pro- ject or report. A prize is DOI neces- sary for acceptance in this club. We wish all of these scientific minds much success in the future. F.F.A. F.F.A. PLOWS ON . . . The Future Farmers of America are the students that want to be farmers. They learn the fine arts of planting, correct time to plant and how to care for the crop. The club is advised by Bruce Marchant and Claine Stenquist. Hooperites, as well as Royites, are encouraged to get involved with farming and learn to do it well. After all, the country is dependent on farmers for food.
