STUDENTS DEMAND MORE HIS- TORY . . . The students of Roy High have received this urge for history in the last few years. History has become a very popular subject. Roy High has about six kinds of history classes. There is Sopho- more, Junior, Senior History, Current Events, A.P.U.S. His- tory and A .P. European History. History has become the best way to learn about the past. First you are learning about the French and Indian war, next you go to Washington's inaugeration, then to World War I and finally to Jimmy Carter. An old history quote is He who cannot remem- ber the past is condemned to relive it. Dems Fields This year the Fine Arts Department put on a school musical, Reachin' For A Star. This was quite different from anything ever done at Roy before. This production was written, produced and directed by Jeannine Dixon. The play was a great success and was also taken to various other schools. When asked about the play, Jeannine stated, I'd like to thank the cast of Reachin' For A Star, for all of their dedication and time that,they put into my play. Without them it wouldn't have been possible. Now I'd like to thank everyone who came and supported this musical. You really made my dream come true. Thanks ! Model United Nations is an organiza- tion based on the actual United Nations. Learning about the people of other countries and their governments is its purpose.
