ll il Cfaaa of f Q36 l1il1f'l.W TRACK The 1936 Track team will be immortalized in Memorial history for its great achievements. The performers rose to new heights under the tute- lage of Coach Campbell. The enthusiasmtof Heet-footed Captain Hurley was contagious throughout the squad. At the State meet held in the Boston Garden, Memorial completely dominated the field, capturing the hlassachusetts State Title in Class B. In the Regimentals at the 10lst Armory, which for sixteen consecutive years she has Won, English barely eked out a victory over the Green and Gold clan. The most brilliant performers were: '4Russ Singleton, the Memorial Hash, who Won the Regimental 300 yard title, Wesley Taylor, the broad- jump and 50 yard dash champion, broke all state and city records, Paul Wexler, the mighty shotput champion, who broke all existing records, Leo Goldman, for two years Reggie hurdles champion, again ruled his field, and James Kline, who shattered the Class C broad jump and fifty yard dash records.
