The January issue, especially, was in every sense a record breaker! It contained no less than sixty-four pages, replete with all sorts of new features, such as the student roster, an interesting history of the school, excellent short stories, class news, poems, essays, club and book reviews, an elaborate sports resume, humor, and many other novel items. In preparation for the January number, the large amount of literary work made it necessary to divide the literary staff into two units, with The Bortonian Editor-in-Chief Hertzel VVeinstat directing Unit A, and Year Book Editor-in-Chief Russell T. VVerby in charge of Unit B. The successful completion of The Bortonian is a splendid example of what earnest co-operation can accomplish. The editors, literary and business, devoted themselves to their work with unusual zeal. Beautiful gold pins, the gift of The Boytonian, were awarded to each senior editor during the course of the school year. To say that these pins were merely deferved would be stating it mildly indeed. They represent everything for which The Boytonian stands: co-operation, personal initia- tive, sincerity, and devotion to an ideal. An unusual feature of this year's Boftofzianr have been the three- eolor and four-color pictures done by the students of the printing depart- ment. It would be well to mention here the inspiring leadership of the fac- ulty advisors. These gentlemen: Messrs. Eugene O'Neil, Literary Advi- sor, Morris Greyser, Art Advisor, John Hennessey, Financial Advisor, and Printing Director, Edward Terrenzi, have been unstinting in their support of The Boftonian, and merit the commendation of the students and faculty alike. 1 FIRST Row c.
