The 1958 Record Presented by the Senior Class of Roxbury Central School Roxbury, New York Editorial Small rural schools sometimes have the reputation of possessing very limited educational and social facilities; however, there are many people who feel that a small school is much more advantageous than a large one. A small school offers each student an equal chance - no matter what his financial, physical, or mental status may be. Each student receives as much Individual attention as he seeks. Students who are determined to get the best education possible are given excellent opportunities in a small school. A rural school makes the most of its excellent outdoor facilities. Every student is encouraged to use these natural endowments. The student body is under the influence of high social standards; therefore, it is likely to maintain a high code of ethics. Small schools tend to produce individuals who are able to face the future with an optimistic outlook. — Nancy Morse Pat Numann (Co-editors)
