Suddenly our graduation is upon us, and twelve wonderful years of school will soon come to a close. Our hesitating steps leading to the graduation plat- form are an important link in the chain of steps which began with those similar hesitating steps which brought us to school that first day. Those first steps were taken with caution, as we had many questions and misgivings concerning the new world opening before us. In time, we became accustomed to the mad whirl of events which was typical of our new lives. From the first day on, the chain of steps grew longer, as other important events presented themselves. Junior high, Regents, and the Junior Prom were only a few of the important links in this chain. Now, as we look back, we realize that we were very lucky to have taken these steps, and that we shall never regret any of them. With graduation, the chain will be complete, and we shall put it away for use in the future. This done, we shall start again on a completely new chain which will begin even before the echoes of our graduation steps fade. We can only hope that the future will hold as much for us as the last twelve years have given us. These new steps will not be entirely in the dark, as there will be guides here and there. But we know that we shall have to work for all we gain, and that some work will go unrewarded. However, if this new chain is as strong and successful as the one we are about to complete, we shall be able to look with pride upon any link in either one. jaaalw R.H.S. let us always be loyal, Let us all to your dear name be true, Give our all to your fame and your glory- Our strength and our love to you. As the sun sets all gold to the westward, There is never a doubt or a fear That dear Roxbury High is the best school- Alma Mater, we give thee our cheer. 3 -nl
