The class of '55 is not to be left out, In fact, this was the first group of people to arrive and start to form a new civilization on this new colony, the Moon. We see Billy Barker, William Brooke, Billy Brooks, and Dickie Gammon operating the Rocket to the Moon Transportation Company. The hostesses on these ships are Katheleen Bowes, Esther Eakes, Shirley Shelton, Lena Briggs, and Estelle Slaughter. They are doing a great job comforting the air-sick passengers such as Betty Winstead, Donald Tingen, and Delores Yarborough, They must have eaten too many of Walter Barker's and Thomas Blackard's now famous Moonburgers at the last stop. As we arrive on the Moon, we see that it has just as much and more than one of our large earthly cities, It is developing quickly through the efforts of its chief architects who are Frank Fox, James Pulliam, Frank Slaughter, Marvin White, and Jerry Whitfield. They have had quite a job because on the Moon there is no gravity, A few blocks down the street we see the ultra modern hospital which was donated by George Paylor, the very wealthy philanthropist. Inside the tastefully decorated building (designed by that famous interior decorating team, Jean Peed and Dorothy Perkins), Mildred Parker, head nurse, is scurring about trying to ease the aches and pains of Billy Reynolds and Jack Britt who were brought in following a brawl over Mildred Beavers, Five rooms down the hall, Graves Clayton is sweating it out in the paternity ward, Strolling down the main drag we see Virginia Chambers and Lucille Clayton exclaiming over Mamie Jo Hill's new hair-do, It was created by none other than Monsieur Randolph Holt! On the front porch of a little vine-covered cottage, Violet Marston and Shirley Thomas are engaged in a lively conversation over Carole Caudell's best-seller How To Get The Husband To Feed The Offspring His Two O'Clock Bottle When You're Too Tired To Get Up and The Neighbors Are Complaining Over The Noise. We even have sports on the Moon, Eugene Briggs has opened a golf course and is doing very well teaching Linney Clayton, James Duncan, and George Gillis, There is also a football team coached by William Gravitte, He is working hard to make cham- pions out of Brady Adcock, William Lankford, Eugene Moore, E. G, Oakley, and Jerry Wrenn. While William is trying to coach, his dear wife, the former Ann Baker is hang- ing out towels marked Ours. Barbara Duff has turned coach too---of a woman's bas- ketball team consisting of Betty Ann Scott, Edna Clayton, June Dunn, Carolyn Howard, Martha Watson, and Shelby Perkins, The water-girls are Betty Horner and Laura Win- stead. The entertainment is the best that can be had. Marie Ferrell and Bobby Lamb have opened a night club named the Solar Club, Ira Barker is the cashier, Buddy Gentry the Master of Ceremonies, James Woody is the head waiter, and Norman Bowen is the chef. - The dance music is provided by Sandy and his Musical Moon Beams. There is a wonder- ful floorshow including Jean Love Clayton, Barbara Hughes, Patsy Jones, and Gladys Trowbridge as the chorus girls, Robert Ramsey, Merrill Jordan, Harold Long, and Donald Wade. Janie Neathery is selling tickets at the local theater with Emily Williams and Frances Williams as ushers. In the projection room we see Harold Whitfield, and Thomas Dickson is making golden popcorn. There is a beauty contest in progress at the moment for the title of Miss Moonlight of 1965. The finalists are Shelbra Blalock, Jean A. Clayton, Rose Crumpton, Shirley Satterfield, Carole Foote, and Sylvia Hester. The judges will definitely have a very hard time choosing the winners, Look at the judges! Those connoisseurs of beauty, Cecil Allen, Ida Mae Clayton, Joe Jacobs, and Joe Seamster! Annie Frazier is doing art layouts for the new paper, The Blue Cheese, Betty Brown is its cartoonist, getting her ideas from Wilbur Fisher, comedian of renown. Bobby Holt and Jackie Reynolds are the proud owners of a space gun factory, Ray Bullick, Jimmy Carr, and James Carver are the car dealers on the Moon and are doing great business with their new 1965 jet propelled rocket-style cars, The new civilization is not lacking in educational facilities either. There is a dancing school in which the former Eleanor Stem and her husband, Lawrence Clayton, are trying diligently to teach the former Becky Knight and her spouse, Carroll Lajty, to do the new rage, the Moonbo, In the new, modern school we find Eva Oakley trying to direct the glee club, and Tommie Matlock teaching students like Sox Shuford (he's still trying) to carry a tune. Schoolmarm Anne Page Brooks' hair is truning grey trying to teach Paige Snow's young'uns that the moon is round. Carolyn Yarboro is teaching a course on How I Got My Man and How To Get Yours” at the same institution. (I mean school--not asylum! ) Gazing out the window of the school at the distant landscape, our eyes are drawn to a cluster of far-away figures, toiling up the sides of craggy craters, Oh, that must be that crater-climbing expedition which Larry Thomas and J. T. Hall organized! A closer look reveals the chief cooks and bottle washers Nancy Wrenn and Shelby Shields, Marie Griles appears to be the morale builder. Professor Fred Chambers and his assistant, Darrell Clayton, are going along to try to prove one of Fred's pet theories--that the moon is made of cheese! Madoline Robertson is carrying all their equipment, But who's that tagging along behind? It can't be! But itis! Jimmy Williamson, the friendly undertaker! To all you Earthites! Get your tickets now to this new civilization begun by the class of '55, and bring all your possessions with you. You will never want to leave once Grayson Montgomery, Governor of the Moon, shows you his planet, We assure you that the minute you hit the moon, you will be Moonstruck!
