The evening was highlighted by a rain, skit, speech, and bon-fire. The skit consisted of members of the football team, Pep Club, and Queen candidates. Follow- ing this, a speech was given by our much-loved Coach McLane. The evening was topped off with a huge bon-fire characteristic of the '11-Oaringvv spirit of Roxana football fans. Friday, despite a drowning rain, the Homecoming Parade was underway promptly at 3:00 p. m. Because of the rain, the floats were dissolved under the very eyes of disappointed students. That evening, among mounds of mud and puddles of water, Roxana Shells fought their way to a victory over the Madison Trojans with a score of 6-0. Amid a beautiful setting of candle- light, colored lights, and ferns, with background oriental music, Miss Carol Jo Brien, escorted by Tom Gatewood, President of the R Club, crowned the 1959-60 Roxana Home- coming Queen. After the crowning of the Queen, the evening was concluded with the Annual Coronation Dance.
